Our Work
Making mental health information easier to access
White Association for Mental Health and Recovery is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN: 98-1873350) founded by Yohanna Hany Wanies. We serve people in the United States through mental health awareness, educational resources, and community support. Our work is educational and community focused; we do not provide diagnosis, therapy, medication management, or emergency care.
Mental health awareness
Clear conversations can help people recognize common mental health concerns and know when to seek help. Our website explains topics such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, eating disorders, OCD, relationships, and childhood abuse in plain language. These resources are general information, not an assessment of any individual.
Educational resources
Our Support Areas organize information by topic and point readers toward reputable outside sources. Each person’s circumstances are different. Where symptoms interfere with daily life, a qualified health professional can help evaluate options. We encourage readers to check the source and date of information and to speak with a professional for personal advice.
Community support and connection
People can use our Contact Us form to ask about resources and community initiatives. We also welcome interest in volunteering and partnerships that support awareness and access to information. See Get Involved and Volunteer With Us.
When immediate help is needed
This website is not monitored for emergencies. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911. In the United States, call or text 988 for confidential crisis support. If you need medical or mental health treatment, contact an appropriately qualified professional.
